Where Have All The Fabric Stores Gone?
My itch for sewing, has returned and with my finances at an all time low, I decided that this year all my Christmas gifts will be homemade. I dug all my fabric out of storage and put on my creative thinking cap. I have a lot of fabric and I hoped that I wouldn’t need to buy more, but I couldn’t be that lucky. So I set out to hit up the closest fabric store, I only need a few fabrics for purse linings. Now granted it’s been many months since I’d been, but I ended up going to three fabric stores, all of which were no longer in business. I was a little bummed but more annoyed. After a little research I found out that the closest fabric store to my home is 45 minutes from my house, which in my opinion was to far just for lining fabric. Where have all the fabric stores gone? There has to be a closer fabric store, Clearwater Florida is a fairly large city. Where is a seamstress to go?
